Why do you think LIBERTY is like that on this image of a 1964 SMS 1c from a past Heritage Auction?

What would have caused Liberty to look like that and isn’t it strange that it’s on a 64 SUPER RARE SMS?

It looks like acid drops right?
It's a defect in the plastic holder. I've seen them on several NGC slabs. The coin is a normal early strike from normal dies -- nothing "Special Minty Sety" about it.
What Roger said, flaws in the plastic. There are also several on the reverse around one cent.

Interesting...had not seen plastic defects like that before.... Learned something new already today... Cheers, RickO
Really odd that RogerB posted that there’s nothing special Mint set about it even though it’s 100% a SMS like I said and the picture was directly taken from the heritage auction site from previous auctions. I guess Roger can learn from this post. Also someone agreed with him. Really weird because I find it hard to get people to click agree on comments on make that are 100% correct and yet this guy ignores what I wrote in the top of the ad when I stated it’s SMS and then tells me I’m wrong and people say he’s right. Takes credibility away from the forum.
I agreed with the plastic statement. I made no comment as to SMS or not.

LOL!
I removed the agree since I only agreed with part of the statement. To avoid confusion.
