Meet "Murph" the Shoeman

Here's a neat "Good For" token from Newark, NJ. Around a hundred years ago, Murphy's shoe store was located down the street from where I work.
I really like this one and the connection it has to local history. I drove by the location the other day, and I wondered what Newark must've looked like in Murphy's day.

That token really gives the 'personal' touch to an advertisement..... Cheers, RickO
That's different !
The more tokens I see, the more interested I'm getting in them.
They are just too darn cool!

The Nineteenth century tokens give us a great insight into personalities and commerce.
