Two Books?

scooter25scooter25 Posts: 769 ✭✭✭✭

So today I went and bought the cherry pickers guide book. I walked into the store saw it, knew what it was, took it to the register, paid, and left. Once I arrived home I got out my Lincoln cent dansco. Start looking through the book and realize that there arent cents in this book?! Its volume II? So now I jist paid a hefty price for a book that cobtains only half the coins?! I mean I know I should have done some research or looked through the book first, bit never in my wildest dreams woukd I think that they wouldn't include all the coins in one book?! Is this a ploy to get more money from us, the collectors? Or are there simply that many errors that they require two books?!

There are more noticeable "errors" and such than will fit in two volumes.

Never bought a coin book that I later regretted.

@scooter25 I actually made the same mistake myself, except I was standing in line at the B & N and was wasting time looking at the book and noticed it didn't have dimes in it. I went back to the shelf and picked up the right book. I was actually really amazed at how it was written, so I ended up purchasing both books. Glad I did, as I love learning about all coins...even the ones I don't collect.

    Later, Paul.

It should not be a problem returning Volume II for Volume I...but I have a feeling that you would like both of them...even if it is one Volume at a time.

Don't look back. Purchase the other volume and you'll have fun the rest of your life.

Yes, it is a two volume set.... but well worth the investment. If you look at what they contain, a single volume would approach the size of the Mega Red Book...Easier to handle in two volumes. Cheers, RickO

Yes, there are two volumes, easier to read.
