Please show your completed listings with the buy it now sale price (not the pre discount price).
I know that there are ways to find the actual sale price but It should not be necessary.
Thank you,
Your humble vassal

Would be nice but I imagine sellers wouldn't like people to know how flexible they are based on history.

Hola Mark
I've parted ways with EBay in 2004. It was actually a legal separation. I haven't been on since. Please explain it to the uninitiated what exactly you are after if you don't mind. I'm curious. I don't know the lingo. Price discovery?
Thanks
mark
Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
When looking at sales history, it will show a coin sold for $X as a buy it now or best offer, when really it sold for less (best offer). So if they were asking $500 or best offer, it shows it went for $500, but it really could have gone for anything under that really.
Pretty good explanation. It will show the $500 and note that a best offer was accepted. Not very helpful in price discovery.
Well that is not very transparent. Where do I sign the petition

While it is nice to have, would you "expect" eBay to provide it?
I don't see any reasonable advantage to Ebay for not showing the sales price. The once transparent site continues to get more cryptic.
Just go to Watchcount.com and put the ebay item number in the search box and you'll get the actual sold price.
You're welcome.

Well thank you, but that is not effective for more than a handful of searches.
rank the completed items in that search from 'highest to lowest including shipping' and you can see general area sold at.
Isn't blitzdude a classy guy.
As a seller, would you tell a potential buyer what discount (if any) that you granted to your last 10 customers who asked for a discount?
Ebay is trying to strike a fair balance between buyers and sellers needs and desires. As a buyer, I want this information but as a seller, I don't want Ebay making it available.
Money is why they dont do this... if you are shopping for a coin that has completed sales for 500 dollars each, the buyer may be inclined to pay 500 dollars for a like item, but if it went for 425 dollars in reality, then Ebay lost 75 dollars worth of seller fees which is 10% for most sellers

"Dear Ebay...."
Most of us likely know that there is an Ebay forum, and the Ebay executives probably ignore all the posts from that forum as well. LOL
As a reseller, I don't mind it.
Best answer. That works pretty well on a coin with a lot of activity. Not so well when only a couple of items have traded.
I don't buy that one. Maybe Ebay should just skip posting buy it now transactions all together and save the previous sales for auctions.
Thanks ebay for providing a platform that did not exist 20 years ago, and, working within the parameters set up by your company allow me to make, after taxes, in excess of 100K a year, while having fun doing so.
Mustangman, the big question for me would be:
what are you selling? And, how and where do you get your supplies to make over 100k net????
Actually, I believe that Ebay is 23 years old. It was started in 1995. I first looked at it in 1998 and joined in 2000, 18 years ago. My how time flies.
Yes, Ebay has been good for me, too, but many of the complaints have merit. Some don't.
In the early days, most of the changes were improvements. Now (and for quite a while) they aren't.
Are you saying that they get sorted by actual sale (best offer) price rather than ask price? If so, I did not know that.

hard to believe someone would make 100 k up on e bay per year. been selling since 1999 and would be lucky to be even after 19 years of selling.
just thought of a way, selling Inherited things, no money wrapped up in Inventory
You can find out the sell price with best offer here http://www.watchcount.com/ebay-best-offer-sold-price.php I sell on 2 accounts on ebay and use this a lot for information.
Results still show the ask price, but by putting them in order with real auction results, you can get a close window as to the actual transaction price.
And please stop resetting categories and the US Only radio box with each new search term grrrr
He sells horses?
No, Horses, he cuts them up and parts them out.
Dog food factories, glue factories, restaurants, leather suppliers
would that be considered a "chop shop?"
