    Those marks are incuse, so I would say it is PMD.... Cheers, RickO

    They look raised to me. Based on the picture, I would guess that some press operator used an emery stick to clean the die and left some parallel die scratches.

    The marks look raised to me, so I'm going to speculate 'file marks' on the die.

    I go along with the file marks/emery stick theory. I see a couple more inside the bell clasp on the right side.
