This is the reason why I'm here.

notice the hair that supposed to be on top of his head but is smack dab puckered across his cheek. Also look on his collar mid way to shoulder and you can notice a slight fantastic of his bowtie

I noticed the big black spot behind the shoulder.
I have to say that you have a creative imagination!

Yes, something is definitely wrong!
That's his cheekbone.
Put the IV back in, he may look better:)
No - I notice another chewed up piece of pocket change. Look man - people here are either being nice to you or poking fun but no one is telling you what you should do - which is start learning the difference between a mint error and post mint damage.
You obviously got a bunch of stuff as an inheritance and I know when that happens you start to imagine it’s some rare treasure like Palladium plates or some rare type of Serpent penny or undiscovered mint error. But it’s just lead plates and a bunch of abused pocket change. If you want to learn about coins, stick around and lurk and read what others post. If you’re trying to figure out if what you have is some secret treasure, it’s not - it’s junk.
People have told you this and you like to argue with them, which means you’re convinced it’s not junk so start submitting coins or take them to a coin store or put them on the BST. No need for any emo rants about how the forum stifles your enthusiasm. If you had enthusiasm you would listen more than you post and would be able to figure out pretty quickly on your own that you just have pocket change and not have to post it here. A day spent researching what mint errors are would have told you this isn’t one.
Give a man a fish and he won’t be hungry for a day. Teach a man to fish and he won’t be hungry his whole life. Time for you to learn how to fish.
Just a worn cent... no error, nothing special. Cheers, RickO
Nothing unusual about this cent.
I have the same problem-less hair on top of my head and more on the face, nose and ears and back.
It comes with age and is perfectly normal, like your 1973 cent.
Ever wonder why coin dealers drink ?

It's a "DISCOVERY" coin! At least I've never seen one like it before. On every Lincoln cent I've ever seen, and I mean every one, the date is always to the right of the portrait. On yours the date is above the portrait. Also the word liberty is usually to the left, on this specimen it is below the portrait! And the motto, "In God We Trust," is usually above the portrait. On this coin it is to the left! But what I find most interesting, in fact fascinating, is that on all other Lincoln pennies, the President seems to be portrayed as in an upright sitting position. On your coin Old Abe appears to be on his back! Almost as if he got tired and decided to take a nap. WILD!!!!!!!!
It would also help if you rotated it to it's correct position. I know it would help me personally.
Pete
Oh! Now I get it! A simple 90° clockwise rotation and all is as it should be. Why didn't I think of that? Still, that "slight fantastic of his bowtie" remains. How do you explain that?
That's not it at all. It is just a tip that at least the coin should be displayed properly. And as you know, I made no comment about the coin.
I don't have to explain a thing.
Pete
Hey, Pete I'm sorry. I didn't mean to imply in the literal sense of how You personally could explain the "slight fantastic of his bowtie," I meant it in the general sense of how could ANYBOBY explain such a cosmic unknown as in what the h*'ll does SLIGHT FANTASTIC OF HIS BOWTIE mean?

If only ColnSide7 posted a pic of the reverse of the coin. We may have just found a 3rd "orientation" to go along with the "coin" and "medal" ones!!
Lighten up everyone.
Please?

Actually on my tablet I can rotate the image...which I did... In this case that option was really not necessary.
There's a real easy way to find out who's right. Try to sell it.
Think you have something worth a million bucks? Try and sell it for 900k. Youll find out real fast if something is in fact worth a million bucks. People will jump all over something for a lot less profit than 100k if you had something.
I think CoinSide 7 who started this thread is trolling you guys and playing a joke on everyone here.

I hear you
@PerryHall It's hard to imagine that he's not. Especially after he whined about the way he was being treated.
Perhaps a new shrunken head double jawbone error. I'd have it slabbed and don't forget one of those cac stickers. ~B
Looks like a scarce struck thru miniature avocado error to me.

No need - just rotate the whole tablet!

Looks like a normal, circulated penny to me.
Is that a catfish in place of his ear???!!!

Yes.
If it's a coin and you collect it, that's coin collecting.
Also, the slight fantastic is easier to see on Lance's pic.

With Ambien, you might be “tripping the light fantastic”!

Is that the "huge ear" variety? I'll bet when Abe was born, they didn't know if he would walk or fly when he grew up.
I really don't have a solid answer. The ear itself looks like normal wear. I think there is a question about the area in between the cheek and jaw.
Nevertheless, the only other comment I can make about this particular date in the Lincoln series is about the designer's initials.
The FG on the reverse of only this one year is rather large. It is the ONLY year this happened.
The Mint probably didn't like the size, and told Gasparro to make it smaller.
I always personally considered it to be a one year variety.

Now that the picture has been righted, I believe I can see better what is not there.
Wow now that you mention it that is a slight fantastic of his bowtie!!! I never noticed that before.
CS7, a larrikin you are.
Smitten with DBLCs.
This American had to look up "larrikin".
Might be a magicians coin. Is it hollowed?
