Finally got the entire first decade (+1) of the Seated Halves!

I'm working on the basic set for the registry, which consists of date/mintmark, with a handful of varieties. The grades on these range from 30 to 58. The last coin I got for this set was the "common" 1842-O, which seemed to be anything but common!

THIS is why I don't do series collecting...I would not know which one to keep! Although the toned one, in the upper right hand corner, has caught my eye several times.

Nice set. I love the pre-1853 seated coinage. So much history..... and patina. While the coins in general are available....wholesome ones are pretty scarce.

    Congrats, those are gorgeous.

Tough and long series is right.....I gave up on that set after acquiring ~40 different dates and mm's. My faves were the early ones with the small dates and lettering.

Very nice set. Congrats on what had to be a long arduous task. Absolutely love the toning. Looks so much like you would expect one to look like. Thanks for sharing.

Good job. I found the last decade a lot harder to find than the first.
Just kept the type coins for my set now.

    Wow. Good job.
I am just starting my journey on LS halves, and it is daunting. I loke the idea of attacking it a decade at a time.

Nicely done, i agree with Catbert on the varied look, I dig it.

I've been buying an occasional F-XF Seated half the last year or so. I'm starting to really appreciate them.

Beautiful coins. Congratulations. Some of these dates are tough in unmolested condition. Your 1848 is certainly a case in point.
