Newp Comstock Silver Round

I’ve been looking at silver rounds for a while and this is the first I’ve seen of this kind— does anyone know when they were made?

I paid $22 over spot but I love the look of it!

    Nothing ordinary about that one. I like it, but $22 over spot is high, but it's all about what makes you happy.

    Nice round... I do not understand the words on the obverse or the reverse... I am sure they mean something to someone.... Cheers, RickO

    Grrrrr, I celebrated too soon! I just got an eBay notification the seller cancelled the sale.

    I saw your thread last night and did a quick search for info to no avail.

    I did however see this Copper version for sale and

    scooped it... $9 shipped (a pretty penny more than 23¢ per ounce spot price of copper)

    Did you get an explaination for the cancelled sale?

    These look really cool!

    I’d love to have an original colonial copper but wow.. $30k for a nice one!

    Cool! That almost looks better in copper, the metal I’m more used to seeing it in.
