Walker Proof Digital Album Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Interesting thread. I realize this has a potential to be a $40k + coin . . .but wow . . I think a bit of MS70 for those fingerprints would have been at least a consideration. Whoever meathooked that coin had better not have a felony rap, or they are gonna get traced in a New York Minute . . . . . . .

I'm with you.......I don't see sandblasted satin fields. I do see a ton of fine lines of, either a proof-like coin or a proof coin. But a proof would have those die polish marks either.
The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!
@leothelyon I'd rather not give away my secrets (not that what I did was incredibly difficult). Anyone with some knowledge of internet browsers and any photo editor could do what I did. But if you must see the original here you go:

If I were to buy a $40k coin tonight, this would be the one.

Listing looks a little shady IMHO, but NGC has graded a few coins as SP so who knows...

@johnny9434 I was quite happy to get $47,000 for it a couple of years ago in the Long Beach sale. Heritage got a few grand, I got the rest.
Kind regards,
George

The extensive die polish lines are one of the markers of the 1964 SMS so they are appropriate if the coin is genuine

I wonder about the seller. No other coins in his offerings approaching that dollar amount, truly crappy photos, and what @Kkathyl said...
Check out my current listings: https://ebay.com/sch/khunt/m.html?_ipg=200&_sop=12&_rdc=1
You're probably right. I've seen only one 1964 SMS, a Jefferson nickel and that's what I based my opinion on.

My Jefferson Nickel Collection
that works for me. best wishes
