This coin arrived in the mail today. It is every bit the coin I had hoped it would be. It's dripping with luster, decent strike and a little bit of color. I saw it listed on eBay and as soon as I saw it, I knew it HAD to come home. The images in the listing looked like they were take with a satellite, but I from what I could see it sure looked good to me. This one is becoming a permanent resident of my herd. If you're up for it, you can try to guess the grade or add comments if you wish, they are always appreciated.

Very nice Buff...Looks 66 ... could even be a +.... Cheers, RickO
Looks great. Is that a lighting event on the left lower nostril? Looks everybit a 65+ or better. Congrats, its nice there are still some nice coins available on ebay.

Discounting what looks like light rub on the hip and mane of Black Diamond, and what looks like rub on Iron Tail's cheek (could just be the picture), RickO's assessment is spot on.
No less than 66.
Beautiful Buff!

Nice coin!
Beautiful! A 66 in my opinion.
Thank you guys for the wonderful comments so far. This Buffalo was bought for both the coin and the holder. I was so excited to see this one being offered. As of the beginning of this month there have been a total of 1 1913 T1 Buffalo Nickel's in this particular holder. This one will make 2.
Sure looks like a pair of sixes to me.
That Buff is HAMMERED!! I'll say 66. I also like the color.

Great looking coin. The Type 1 Buffalo is like the 1881-S Morgan. It is hard to avoid picking up a few of them because they are pretty cheap and they just look so nice!
I will guess MS65.
six six
Well I think we are ready for the reveal. Those of you who guessed 65 nailed it. This T1 is housed in a PCGS Doily holder. I was so excited when I spotted this. I've been wanting a Buffalo in a Doily for quite a while now, and I am so excited to get this example.
Is that an original Doily? If so, IMHOP that sucker should Bean right up!
Pete
Yes it is an original. It's in very nice condition as well. The cert number is not yet listed in the Doily census, so I will be posting this example over there. I do plan to send this to CAC, I expect it to at least green bean. A gold would be absolutely wonderful.
Very nice!
OK..................Bean it up, Scotty!

I'm jealous!
