Going thru my weekly pocket change and I see this 1944 cent, has some obvious HARD hits after 74 years....
The MM caught my eye, is it just an "S" mm with serious PMD ??
Thank you for your opinions...

My first impression is pmd on the upper loop of the S. Doesn't resemble either of the d/s rpm' s for that date.
That was my thought at first was D/S....at first glance.
Thank you.

Agree.........................Wait!
It's just a plain old "S" and nothing more.
That coin was made during a war, and has also been in one. It looks to be an S.
Carry on my wayward coin.

I would say it is PMD... unfortunate hit/hits on the MM.... Cheers, RickO
