It hard to tell in the picture but both sides are doubled in the letters is that possible and would it be worth anything

Sorry, but what you have is a normal coin with machine doubling on many of the peripheral elements. Keep looking -- you will eventually find something cool.
Definitely machine doubling and not DD.... Keep searching, they are out there...Cheers, RickO
