This 34 Buff has either a die crack or clashed die below the date and braids. Which is it, or is it something else?
Thanks
Jim

Could also be a "struck through" or a lamination error.
Is it raised above the surface?
Cannot tell in holder. Not a big deal, the coin was labeled Genuine due to Scratch, just noticed it and thought I would ask opinions. Thanks for your reply.

.
there is a chance it is a scratch. it seems to follow the hit on the chin and into the field.

I see the scratch on the chin... but do not see anything significant below the date/braid.... not sure what you mean. Cheers, RickO
Ricko, here is the same pic as above, but with arrows pointing to what I was speaking of. May not be anything, but just does not look like a scratch to me.
Thanks for your reply.

It's probably a "struck through" wire or similar piece of scrap. (assuming it is incuse).
