Another crazy sample slab auction

There were a bunch auctioned at the same time in 2015. Most went in the $110 range, but one went for $213.50 then.

I have a 1910 just like this. My dealer gave it to me knowing I collect Liberty Nickels. Glad I don't have to test the market to acquire one.

Looks like one of those “I want it and I don’t care how much it costs me” auctions. I’ve won a couple of those.

Appears to have been a bit of a bid war between sample slab collectors.... and then the winner was watching at closing...Cheers, RickO
