Mechanical error should be first priority

I guess I'm venting a bit as my sub popped on March 1st and it had 23 mechanical errors. I called to stopped shipment and pointed out the errors. Now you would think that since the order was done, and it's there, it should be a priority to get them fixed and shipped asap/immediately right? Am I wrong to think this? Any idea how long this process takes? I called a couple times and get the same answers....."I'll go check on it and see what's going on."

Why? Because they don't agree with the logic?

I agree completely with the OP. I would add that mechanical errors should move to the front of the line even if they aren’t caught before they’re shipped (I.e., someone mails in a box marked “mechanical errors”).

I recently sent back a Dr. J. rookie that had an issue with the slab having something on the inside of the holder that made it look like there was a stain on Dr. J's fro. I was told 10 to 15 business days to correct this mechanical error. 23 mechanical errors seems crazy. What type of cards were these?

23 mech errors is not the norm but it certainly isn't infrequent either. I've had similar happen to me plenty of times. Most of the time it is with foreign-issue items, but several have been more typical North American hockey and baseball too.

Congratulations on contacting them fast enough that you caught the order before it shipped.

My 23 errors were all the same card. They were suppose to say "silver" but it didn't and therefore contributed to the regular version in the pop report. They did it for my gold version. Someone just missed it.

Here is something that has made me sick. Almost two years ago now , I send a sub of 65 into PSA. It had 8 Dorsetts, that I had been putting together for about 3 years(all could have been 10's, but you know how that works). Easily made me #1 even if those all came back as 9's. The rest were 77 Mexican cards, which 8 were of the 'dirty dozen'...these would have finished my Mexican set. PSA claims they lost the order. Eventually they did reimburse me my declared value, but I've been sick ever since and haven't even thought about submitting anything.

I believe cards should be divided into two groups: 'mine' and 'yours', with the former group getting preferential treatment and me being much less concerned about the other 5,000 cards that arrived the same day...

....said every collector ever to them self.

Sorry to hear this, I think its every collector's worst nightmare to hear something like this when you have cards going to a TPG or already there. Glad to hear they reimbursed your declared value but we all know that doesn't account for time & effort looking for that right card.
