Is there an online version to look at possibly...?
No. The publisher (who recently passed away) had a partial list on his site: www.exonumia.com , but I did not see "ML" listed, and I think simple initials are only listed in an appendix in the book.
My guess is that your stamp might be a silversmiths stamp or something similar.
Thanks for the above!
Unlisted is ok...they go alot cheaper
These incuse stamps, especially with the neat detail around the edge are very cool lmho and often sell pretty high...particularly if listed in Brunk.

The bigger payday is when you can find an unattributed one and then attribute it (there are people who can help with that).
That would be a cool direction to go...I'm dabbling now but may very well start in in earnest.
It's fun to explore areas of the hobby that are new to you. I've got some great Latin CS pieces but just getting into US...

Any CS experts seen it before??
WOW. The placement of the monogram probably was deliberately done.
Wish I could help, but not an expert by any means.

Interesting counterstamp, not one I have seen before. Almost seems to be a trademark type of stamp. Might check copy write files. Cheers, RickO
check Brunk?
