FWIW, while the variety is listed on the insert as no "FG" it is technically "Missing Designers Initials" and the requirement is the complete abrasion of the initials from the die, and hence, from the struck coin(s). from what I have seen over the years the 1966 SMS and 1982-P Half-Dollars are prohibitively scarce absent the designers initials and the 1972-D is rare by comparison. I have never seen one.
These get attention from time to time... however, the only one's I have seen that command collector value are those where the initials are entirely missing....Cheers, RickO
Thanks guys. I had another question I posted this morning. You are all for the most part a great asset to a collector and aspiring error coin and variety specialist.

the kennedys come in various stages of missing/weak FG, for a lot of different dates. fwiw.
they for sure have a following.
.
Never saw that one.
I like all of the "missing" detail coins. They make life very interesting.
I can't tell you if there is a premium on missing partial initials, though.
