I've become less and less excited by great coins as of lately. Yesterday I handled a 1895 Morgan PR64 in an old green holder with lovely original color and slight cameo. Meh wasn't interested.
Most would probably describe me as a dumb numismatist...I don't care about grades, I prefer circulated to MS, I view quantity as quality and more. Is that close?
I was numb for a while last week....dentist appointment.. ... followed by a great meal with copious quantities of Cabernet....an additional numbing effect....Yes, on occasion I have been a numb-mismatist....even enjoyed it sometimes... Cheers, RickO
I see a lot of numbness, these days, but a lot of passion still exists, as well.
I, myself, have always been passionate, even though I have had dry buying spells. I think that I will always be this way....numismatics has SOOO much to offer.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍
