Submitting a 1995-W Silver Eagle in a capsule?

I know this is generally not allowed but I have one with a shot at a PF70 and am wondering if there is an exception allowed at PCGS in this instance as a small mishap could prove expensive. I’d like it to have all the protection it can get on its way there.

Yes, recommended to do that for this coin.

Thanks all. It will be going in for express service within the next few days.
All mint products should remain in their capsule until the TPG receives them.

I would leave it in it's protective capsule until...what they said above...especially the images!

I would unfortunately put my money on it being in the "69" even if looking perfect. I submitted one under similar circumstances that looked pristine with the outer case completely unmessed with and pristine as well - as were all the gold coins...I think they almost look on it as giving gifts. I have seen host 70s with micro frost breaks, etc. that appear of identical quality.
Well, just Love coins, period.
Good luck..... that would be a super score..... Please come back and let us know what happens... Cheers, RickO
This is why I still have not sent in mine.
