Knowing the financial challenges of a date/mm set, I just buy the ones that I like to look at. And that includes RAW examples. I love to throw one on the poker table with my friends........just to raise them. Nothing better in hand than gold.
I've collected the better dates of Saint Gaudens : 1907, 1908 w/m; 1909/08 overdate
Add a D and S of any date and you'll have something of a complete type & Mintmark set of Saints, with the overdate as a cool addition. (The High Relief, like everything else, is optional.) You can do the same with the Libs, which will take 12 coins. (The Paquet is optional.)

I guess I'm also old school and partial to the Lib's. I agree with the statement above the Saint's are the Morgan Dollars of Gold!
