No Trade dollar proofs as of May 1884?

Well, possibly not....or maybe the 1884 and 1885 proof Trade dollars were made at the same time - 1885?

    Sherman was a big wheel in D.C. I wondered if he then asked for a few and ten were struck to accomodate him?
