If you have the current 10% ebay bucks, and believe that it gives you that discount (I believe it gives you a future discount, not a current one...so it is semantics), you can get some from Apmex (on ebay) that end up below melt....
Current price (fluctuates so this is at time of posting): $713.74
Ebucks earned for future use @10%: $71.37
Price for 1/2 ounce gold 1st Spouse: $642.37
Current Spot Price: $1320.80

Finally, these non collectible bullion coins are priced at near value.
Still not interested. I will pay a bit more for a buffalo or eagle.
Next will be the proofs at below spot. That one stings for those that bought from The mint.
Thanks for posting, Boichman. The savings Grace might be the little Interest in counterfeiting these mutts.
I like this deal better, sorry, just don't like modern gold

hurry, almost sold out!
Gold is dipping a bit, so using ebay bucks or other discount opportunities can make for a nice buy....as usual, one must strike early....Cheers, RickO
I don't buy any modern mint products and if I did it sure wouldn't be gold spouses.
Yes, Morgan, these are a special layer of ugly and with the myriad of choices (old and new) available to me for bullion
I draw the line of value over bad taste/even worse, execution, and fall on the sword to pay a few dollars more to avoid chewing my arm off when awoken by these faces.
I ended up getting two of those yesterday
both go out under melt:

Gold under melt everywhere lol
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.
Yep....saw all those as well...but I posted about the 1st spouses just because of what they are
Ugly "coins". I bought from the mint, and flipped, for the first few issues. I've ignored them ever since. I don't think they are worth it, but I understand some collect them......heh.

I was not wanting to post / hijack your thread but saw others posting deals here too.
Never bought any of the first spouse coins. Seems like not too long ago most coins and bullion had a hefty premium but commemoratives and these spouse coins could be found close to melt. (Outside the Mint of course). I was tempted a few times but never bought. All gold under spot is good gold. I'd be on that deal if there weren't so many others at the moment.

The Jefferson’s Liberty First Spouse is nice looking, but that's all I'd really care to have.

The Libertys are a nice-looking set (they blew it by substituting Alice Paul for a Liberty when Chester Arthur's turn came up):
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
I do like the Andrew Jackson. The mint would have been better off with a Prez $10 gold if they would have made all of them this nice. And then made a golden dollar with the same design

Any time you can buy a US Mint gold product for less than spot you are getting one heck of a deal. Don't have to like them, consider them an excellent bullion play. Their origin makes them a good bullion investment.

I don’t believe that ebay has EVER offered me a discount that takes a bullion coin below melt. What am I doing wrong?
I knew it would happen.
I believe they are cooking the ebay bucks in to the computation. That isn't a reduction for me; rather, another attempt to encourage me to buy more stuff from ebay.
Besides. the issue isn't whether I can buy at spot for an unattractive and under-sought coin like the spouse; rather, what kind of hit am I going to take when the dealer doesn't want it either?
Then I have to unload it on BST where there is minimal interest (which would be the same for me as a buyer of an unattractive coin) unless it is under spot, considering fees and shipping.
