How many coins do you "look at" when you only want ONE?

C'mon, you know it happens. But do YOU do it?
You want a coin in a showcase but is that the ONLY coin you ask to see?
Or....do you "tactically" look at some you know you don't want?
:);):oB)

I've been known to buy a few coins I didn't want to draw attention away from the cherry! >:)

The search is on. Coins catch my eyes. It's a weakness.

Just depends on the coin but in most cases just one.

The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.

I'll "look" at them all but only ask to pull the one(s) out of the showcase if it's a coin(s) I'm consider buying. No sense in playing games or wasting the sellers time. Now I can't tell you how many times I've handed a coin back because the reverse was not as good as the obverse or the price was just out of line.

I don’t ever look at coins I’m not interested in buying unless it’s something exceptionally nice I just want to admire. If this is the case, I usually tell the dealer my intentions and ask if it’s OK. Unless they’re hopelessly busy, I’ve never been turned down. Often it’s a really great experience and an opportunity to make a friend & enjoy something really special. It’s a real privilege to be able to get up close to a Stella or half disme.

It’s an even bigger privilege to be given the guided tour of the gorgeous buff toners at Angel Dees table (before they were sold) or spend 20 minutes with Harlan Berk as he takes you on a personal tour of his high-end inventory. People can sense sincerity and it’s a real turn-off if a person is trying to be deceptive.

I usually am shopping for a specific coin/mm/date....and unless the dealer has more than one, I will only ask to see that one....Cheers, RickO

I ask to see whatever interests me, at the time....you never know what you'll see at a show....that's why they're fun.
