Hoping to get outbid on an auction tonite....

CoinstartledCoinstartled Posts: 10,135 ✭✭✭✭✭

....or maybe not.

I am not sure.

Lower mintage piece that is difficult to price.

Either way I will promptly pay if I win and will not return it.

Mispoke about the low mintage...it is a lower pop for the series.

    But not that low.

    I need some Brioski.

Outbid. Fortunately someone had a greater appreciation of the $5 gold.

Now you can go out for pizza next weekend without having to raid the change jar. ;)

I tried to manually snipe something flying under the radar but was too slow on the trigger. :'(

At least you got the adrenaline rush of the bidding process for free. Sometimes having that AND getting to keep your money is better than winning the coin.

Also forgot to mention ebay allows you to retract your bid if you feel you made a mistake. Just cancel, no need to create a thread about it.

    99% sure it wasn't eBay.
100% sure it was not a mistake bid.

Blitz likes to assume a bunch of stuff it seems. Coin was not on Ebay but Great Collections. I bid on it as a flip. Though not particularly expensive, it was of a less available population for the grade. Comp prices showed a wide spread. I realized after placing the bid that it was fair for the collector but a bit high to be profitable on resale.

No big deal one way or the other.

I got lucky and learned a lesson today. I had a lot of money dumped into a potential thousand dollar grab and used my image editor effects and saw a bunch wrong I normally couldn't. The coin was listed wrong and kind of under the radar, and I thought this was why people were tentative the last hour.

There was one more bid. I had already allocated those funds to more pieces to a wider spread of smaller gains. Whoever spent that buck saved me having an issue on my hands =/

I hope they catch an extra grade on it or something lol.
