How many coins did you buy this week?

StoogeStooge Posts: 4,660 ✭✭✭✭✭

I had a very dry week as I bought nothing at all coin wise. I did receive in the mail (Purchased last week) a batch of 2013-P Roosevelt dimes (100) cut out of mint sets still sealed with the hopes of obtaining an MS68FB for my set.

How many coins did you buy this week?

@DIMEMAN said he got 7 packages in 1 day, so I can't wait to hear his reply...

Later, Paul.

I don’t think I have purchased a coin in a month (and the last one was for a quick flip).

Who buys a coin a week? How much disposable income do you have?
Last coin was from Heritage about a month ago, and those are few and far between.
I get it! Depends on your collecting goals, I have to save some major cash to even think about my next purchase.

    82

But it was 80 pre 65 quarters and 2 EF $10 Libs mostly for bullion value so not sure if that really counts as "coins".

The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.

Roughly 400, but as another posted stated, does junk silver quarters, halves, etc count as 'coins purchased'?

@Raybo mentioned above that he has to save some major cash for his next purchase for which I do myself and can fully appreciate, so my question to you @DIMEMAN is that you're buying all of these MS66 Quarters and some are really quite nice, but are you saving for any of the big time empty spots in your sets? For instance ur missing the 1829 Curl base 2 dime, any leads on this dime? I'm not trying to drive a stake in ur foot Jon, just wondering what ur plans are.

@AllCoinsRule did you get the '86 or '71 MS67FB dimes that went off last week?

No, they went too cheap too but just enough for me to sit it out. I didn't get any dimes. Mostly nickels and couple of quarters and also a 71-p Kennedy in ms66 that is super. (I have 4 of these in super ms66 now but still no ms67).

I passed as I had to work, otherwise I may have jumped on the '86. I have an older '71 6FB slabbed by DnT that should go 7FB if cracked. Haven't gotten around to it yet.

Usually get one or two packages in the mail a week. Does not matter if it is a $10 or above coin/medal. Yet to open a package with a 10 oz silver bar at spot. Got pictured coin a few days ago. For some reason I didn't have a PCGS 65 Morgan and wanted one,so paid around retail ($120) for a fairly nice one :)

Picture post card. They are very interesting. Best ones in this batch were a 1912 Christmas seal tied (cancelled) to a New Years card; a view of stacks of bound currency notes inside the Reserve Silver Certificate Vault at the Treasury (fairly common), and a card to NJ that went "UNCLAIMED" (postal history).
