Price for a MS64 $20 Saint Gaudens?

Hi folks,
I'm looking for some assistance on what I should expect to pay this weekend (we have a local show) for a MS63 and/or a MS64 $20 Saint Gaudens ? Correct me if I'm wrong but if I remember correctly he said that the prices are close to melt for ms63 and ms64 and then it jumps at ms65?
I mainly collect the modern gold coins but my son has been collecting $20 Saint Gaudens and asked for a MS64 of any of the following year's for his birthday -1910-D, 1911-D, 1914-D, 1914-S, 1915-S, 1922, 1923, 1923-D.
We would like to pick him up 2 of them if we can find them..
Thanks in advance!

your going to pay a lot more than melt for those dates in that grade. you can pick up a ms-62 -1924 for close to melt. common date

here is what you can buy for melt, common date

I think melt was an assumption and the dates were a requirement.
Check completed auctions on ebay.
I bought an Unc 1922 for $1325 last week. ANACS MS60 but it wasn't all banged up so I cracked it out.

I have seen better date 64+ 1922 Saints on ebay for around $1600 which is a good deal. I'm curious if that huge hoard of Saints turned out to be more than a rumor.
I've seen some 65s on dealer websites for $1650.
I'm not sure what cac is bidding 65s at, so I would go for a 64+cac. Also 65 cac on 1922 better date coins must be strong.
Wholesale ask is 1410 today for PCGS 64
not CAC
If the grade is not a requirement, you should be able to do well... though coin shows often are a tad higher priced.... ebay usually has the better opportunities under no grade conditions. Cheers, RickO
I agree with everything that is said above, but be picky. 64 should be a nice grade for any series, but I've seen my share of ugly or dull 64 Saints that make me wonder how that got that grade. Try to find one that grabs your attention from across the room!
