Can you still save your search's on Ebay?

DIMEMANDIMEMAN Posts: 22,403 ✭✭✭✭✭

It use to be right at the top "save this search" they have moved it and I can;t find it now. I have been redoing it every time and I'm "SICK & TIRED" of it.

Any help would be appreciated.

I do my saved searches as a bookmark on my computer.

The searches have been acting funky lately. Right now, it takes quite a while for my coins to show up after I load them. Use to be right away.

Thanks....I guess they thought I should know that. My question is to them is what was wrong with "save this search"????

I guess everything has to be a symbol now. The Millinials(sp) have taken over. It's a wonder they haven't started the "solent Green" process on us!

Rant over. And I apologize if you are in that age group. B)

The computer programmers have to continually 'improve' their work, otherwise there jobs would become obsolete. new version -> debug -> new version -> debug..........

I was a Computer Programmer for 35 years. My motto was "if it's not broke...don't fix it".

Also...I just redid my search and there is NO heart.....ARGH!

    punch in your search
    click Save this Search
    name you search
unclick Alert over email (unless it is a rare ebay item, you don't want daily emails)

    to find saved searches
    upper right My eBay
    third from bottom Saved searches

You can copy and paste in a word document so that you’re taken care of whenever eBay changes its website next.

That's the whole problem....there is no "save this search" to click!

Don't have a clue how you would do this.

As a former computer programmer we always said PC's were an art form.......never does the same thing the same twice.

Where as on a main-frame computer if you enter the same data into the same program the out come will ALWAYS be the same.

That being said the save option is showing now right where it is supposed to be, And it wasn't there before!

@DIMEMAN.... You are not alone.... I have had things that I use all the time (ebay and elswhere) just 'disappear'...and in my case, they never return....obviously lost through system updates or site changes... I have been using computers since the 70's (Used to work at a computer manufacturer)....floppy disks etc....oh yeah, my first real PC (after the floppy disk variety) had a massive 105 megabyte memory....thought I would never use all that....Back on topic.... now when something disappears, I simply figure out how to work around it. Hardly ever reappears... Cheers, RickO

I just used eBay to buy something last week - the first purchase I have made on there since January 2009 - nine years! I noticed all my old searches are still there.

And the item is delayed by the post office because of all the damnable snows.
