YAHOO EMAIL PROBLEMS EFFECTING YOU?

Unbelievable. I know that I've received a few emails from fellow forumites but in the last couple days and then some, my yahoo mail is down more than it's up ( hmm where did I hear something like that before. Shhh )

I have only been able to access mail a couple times today so those who are wondering " is he really that busy to a point where he doesn't reply? ", no! I would like to read your email and reply but I can't! Anyone else having this on yahoo mail? Seems like the rest of yahoo works fine, just the mail is out of whack. This is what I get:

I have a Yahoo account. They’ve been steadily going downhill for years. Lately, it’s been a mess. I can usually get it to work on a desktop just fine. From my iPhone it’s pretty inconsistent.

I opened an alternate gmail account recently and I’m gradually making the transition. With email platforms, there seem to be only temporary solutions.

Many of us have figured a way to incorporate email as a very important link for communicating with clients and not yet clients. This is definitely having an impact on abilities to maintain that level of communications. I dislike gmail, aol but I do have outlook and have a great email addy there with Comcast ( thecoinguy) but I've always liked yahoo more until recently. Dang. Big dang.

I had to endure the process for resetting a perfectly good password just a few hours ago. Well, all I can say is that now I know it wasn't only me.

    That makes a BIG difference.

Isn't it a 'thing' here on the boards, that if you change your email address you have to start back to square one?
New user name, password, 0 post count, etc...

I seem to remember this happening to some that changed their email that is tied to the forum.

If I were on Yahoo, I'd ditch the yahoos and go elsewhere. Painful as that might be. Seems like it is on a downward spiral to oblivion.

If you have another email account - can you set Yahoo to automatically forward email to the other address and keep a message in the inbox? I know its clunky, but at least you can get messages via that back door.

I stopped using Yahoomail when it got hacked. It doesn't work in Chrome anymore for me. I am running a 9 year old laptop I purchased in Ukraine so I can't update browsers etc anymore.

I think yahoo is fathered by Bing now. Their search engine, anyway.

AOL and Yahoo email are interconnected.

    THAT would explain a lot.

Yahoo has been the MOST UNSTABLE platform for years.
I use either Outlook or Gmail. Gmail supposedly sends everything to the Russians or something, but it's still the best for syncing to other devices and having a PERMANENT record ...accessible OUT OF YOUR HOME....of purchases, sales, communications of all sorts so I don't mind my receipts on some stuff going to Putin.

I also use Yandex which is supposed to be VERY secure and out of the target of hackers.

Dunno on Yandex, but I use it for some stuff.

Without notice, Yahoo even dropped my stock tracking list YEARS ago. I pretty much hate Yahoo. :#
