Grades are in...sometimes things just work out! Crosses and upgrades :)

I sent in my annual Collectors Club submission and was nervous about the possible grades. Why? Because 7 of the 8 coins were in lower tier 3rd party slabs with the 8th being raw and although I was confident that the coins would grade at our host I was also somewhat unsure because I have not cracked and submitted anything before...so a bit of a roll of the dice for me. I was planning on posting the results one way or another, if only to show 'Hey...beware of 3rd party slabs' as an education to new folks but as it turned out the grades came back OK. Here is a summary:
1897 Morgan - Was PCI Gold M$64 PL - Now PCGS MS64 PL
1899 O Morgan - Was PCI Green MS63PQ - Now PCGS MS 65. I think this is a VAM 11a..I looked it up before but forgot what it was so will have to go back and check. This is a nice coin and deserves the 65.
1898 O Morgan - Was NNC Ms63 PL - Now PCGS MS 64
1881 S Morgan - Was PCI Gold MS 66 - Now PCGS MS 66
1923 Peace - Was PCI Gold MS 65 - 92, Unc Details
1925 Peace - Was PCI Gold MS 64 - Now PCGS MS64
1926 Peace - Was PCI Gold MS 63 - Now PCGS MS 63
1927 Vermont - Raw - 92 Unc Details
Overall about what I expected except for the 1923 Peace $. No home runs but in better plastic now. I'll have to go back and see if I can figure out why the 23 did not grade. It is very clean with few hits and honestly I thought it would upgrade to a 66. The Vermont I was 99.9% sure it would not grade because although it is very clean in terms of marks etc. it has been dipped to the point of no luster and it did not. I did not have any other coins sitting around to send in so tossed that in since my membership is going to renew and I did not want to lose my submissions!
I paid for the coins, mostly around 40-60 dollars for the Morgans and Peace $ however that has been over the last few years that I have picked them up. So not a lot of $ into them and maybe a little uptick in value which is nice. Thanks for reading!

Congratulations on your upgrades.... and it looks as if your expectations were close to results - that speaks well of your grading.... The Peace will either be a learning experience or a resubmit...
Cheers, RickO
Looks like you have a good eye and knowledge to back it up. Congratulations and
once again proves there are still really nice coins out there waiting to relocate into better living conditions such as Pcgs

Nice. I hate the paperwork but like submitting. I need someone who doesn't mind filling that out, and can print legibly. accurately, and small.

I only submit once a year but it would be nice to be able to start one online and then finish it later. It is easy enough unless you have to go back and re-enter a couple of times because things come up half way through the process. I can imagine for a large submission that would be helpful for some.

I read this and think you should stop buying PCI coins.
