I have some 'boxes' of coins.... and I have coins in a very nice wooden coin cabinet with drawers. Also two other coin cabinets with slim, flat drawers with circular, felt lined receptacles for coins. Raw coins are great... you get to hold them, feel the heft of large silver coins, examine them in detail (all three sides) without the interference of plastic. Yes, I have slabs.... lots and lots of slabs... but I really like my raw coins. Cheers, RickO

Do you put the coins in flips in the coin cabinet to avoid friction rub?

@jmlanzaf... some are in flips or airtites... others are not. I am not worried about rub since they are not moved around (cabinets have not moved in ten years - and when they last did move, the coins were not inside). I am the only one who opens the drawers and that is not a daily occurrence. Cheers, RickO

Some of us never left.
Instagram is full of people who do the cigar box or stash thing. And it's fun to see those kinds of pictures.

That mutes the clinking.
