How about some high grade / pop top So Called Dollars (SCD)?

Had an opportunity to reshoot two of my best this weekend with some warm natural sunlight...

Here's one I had that was a top pop I believe.... or maybe it was just the top pop for PL graded examples, don't remember for sure, but either way a special piece!

Sold this one awhile back... was pop 1/0 at the time.

Wow. Those are both stunners, @illini420!

The 2nd highest in silver: **

**And the pop top in aluminum: **

there needs to be a stipulation of some kind. top pop at NGC?? PCGS?? both?? also, is this for SC$'s in Hibler-Kappen 2nd edition or whatever someone wants to call their medal??

True, though that is the same for our entire hobby. Normally I'd give a big preference for our hosts vs. across the street. But the number of pieces slabbed by NGC seems to dwarf those by PCGS. So?

Also, it seems that SCD collectors are literally years (if not decades) behind in the march toward slabbing. So it is especially true that "pop top" in SCDs probably still means considerably less than it does in other areas of our hobby--but I do feel that has changed a lot in the last 5 years or so.

Regardless, these are the current pop tops in gold (HK-371) for both TPGs. ;)

We all know PCGS CAC is the top of the top :D;) There are some PCGS CAC HK SCDs out there but they are few and far between. A top pop one would be even more rare!

Absent that, all the ones in this thread look great so far!

H&K 796 (Zerbe 10) Lesher and So-Called Dollar in NGC MS66. It was raw when this photo was taken. This specimen is from the Jacque and Alfred J. Ostheimer III Collection. I purchased it from Mrs. Ostheimer 13 years or so ago.

I'm not sure of the NGC pops but to date this is the only example certified by PCGS. I have quite a few "only's" there because of their late entry and what I see as a reluctance of submitters to send SC$'s to PCGS. that will change. to the medal itself, they tend to come dipped out white and grade MS63 and lower. when I noticed this toned example I bought it without hesitation.

One of the silver mining themed SCDs available.

This grade is top at PCGS (1/0) and NGC (11/0). Of course, I give a preference to our hosts.

@keets Nice HK-491. That one has some nice character and I especially like the obverse.

Also, PCGS popularity is up 300% as there are 4 slabbed now ;)

Keets, can we see the slab on this piece?

Weiss, I only have the TrueViews right now.

this HK-887 is another "only" at PCGS and I'm not sure if NGC has graded any. that's a long-shot since it's listed as an R8. I feel fortunate to own it and, again, snapped it up without hesitation.

I will add an afterthought and say I am happy the '68 Hudson is content. :)
