Melville Coin Show

I attended this longstanding show on route 110 in Melville Long Island today and was pleasantly surprised. There was the old buzz I used to see at the show which had been missing lately. Lots of new material to see and I bought some nice foreign coins.

I am guessing the uptick in gold to a level we have not seen for a year and a half is at least partially responsible for the return of the "old buzz."

    From another thread:

"Gold Hits Key Price Level for Rapid Gains

Gold just hit a crucial milestone: $1,350.

This is a very important level for the yellow metal to hold.

I’m not a technical analyst, but I respect what they do and I listen when they have a strong opinion. And most technicians I talk to say that holding $1,350 is the crucial first step that can send gold much higher.

    .....

The last time gold hit this level was back in July of 2016."

That sounds promising... was there much bullion activity at that show? Cheers, RickO

Somewhat, I saw one guy [customer] buy #100 Morgan dollars, circs, sight unseen.

popped down the cash right there.
