Joe Levine update.

Anybody know anything? Does anyone know the "Medals Master"?
I've sent a couple emails the last few months, but the auto-response that had said "he is recovering slower than expected" is no longer even on.
I'm hoping to hear good news, and that he's just busy.

I bought a couple medals from him last year - did not even know there were any health issues. Please keep us posted.

I have not received an email offering from him for quite a while. I hope that he is okay.

    Holy ____! :(

He was one of my mentors. I'll call some folks up north but he moved to the boonies and I don't expect to learn much.

As far as I know he was the original retailer of the Trump Inaugural medal issued by the Ohio GOP. A couple other sources eventually also started listing them on eBay but I happened to check a few weeks ago and saw that he was not listing them any more. I had assumed he had just exhausted his supply but maybe there are other reasons?

I am also on his email list and I have not gotten an email in a few months.

BTW - I only made a few purchases from him, but he quickly proved himself to be extremely reputable and committed to customer service. When I had an issue with a medal, he sent a replacement before even asking me to return the original one. He also included a check for the return postage, which I did not cash as I thought he was already being more than reasonable in trying to resolve the issue.

Joe is the kind of person who gives "numismatics" a very good name.

It's refreshing to read such a tibit of humanity still being practiced, different from the recent postings of online businesses "malpractice". And kudo to JBK for doing the right thing for I assumed, a small business owner.

I bought a Nathaniel Greene Comitia Americana medal from Joe in an auction. Several years later I learned that it was a messed with modern piece. He refunded my money, no questions asked. You can't ask for better than that.

I sure hope he's OK. Can't say enough good things. I've worked with his auction catalogs via the Newman Portal and the research he puts into items that aren't necessarily worth that much is a real gift to the hobby.
