An Old Holder to a New Home

I originally acquired this coin for my 7070 album back around 1989 from Ellesmere Numismatics. Later thinking it may tone, I decided to just keep it in the holder, and then acquired a cheap r&b raw example to fill the hole.
Cleaning up the safe recently I rediscovered this coin and was intending to post it on the BST with a number of other items when out of the blue a forum member contacted me about Hallmark holdered coins. So it now safely resides with its new appreciative owner after spending nearly 30 years with me.
The coin is still a blazing bright red example after all these years, though I realize it’s hard to tell from these photos:

Nice looking coin. I have a 1935 DDO Mercury Dime MS65 in a Hallmark holder. I am waiting for this variety to be added to the PCGS variety set so I can cross it over.
I have some of those holders. Cool that you had it in the same spot for 30 years!
I have seen a few Hallmark holders at coin shows when I lived in Seattle.... not common by any means. That is a nice looking cent...Cheers, RickO
Seattle and Portland have some very old coin dealers with some very nice stock. Now that they're getting on in years, I've noticed some places are adding very very old stock, and much higher priced items. Making me wonder if these gentlemen are getting out of the hobby.

Here was something I found on the forum from 2006:
Let me quote from Conder101's book about Hallmark: "The company was probably counting on the excellent reputation of their parent company, Bowers & Merena, to help them make it in the market place. Begun around 1987, Hallmark only managed to survive for approximately four years before it went out of business. Once they closed, PCI bought all of their slab shells and supplies."
I always try and buy these when I come across them. Bought this one at a show last year but sold it to a member here a few months back.
