I was wondering what you guys would grade this 1972 Type 2 Ike? IMO I'd have to say AU range? The luster is beautiful and the coin overall is toned a slightly darker golden color. It's extremely hard to get a decent picture due to the tone on the coin so I experimented with different lighting. If it weren't for some marks here and there I'd say it's probably higher AU? I did see an AU 55 PCGS Ike that was worse compared to mine so any thoughts? Got this at a bank BTW.

    A 1972 Type 2 Eisenhower dollar for a dollar, can't beat that.

Wisdom has been chasing you but, you've always been faster

AU50.... just looks like quite a few dings and fair amount of wear...I would definitely take any I saw at the bank though...I always look, never any there.... heck, most of the time there are no halves anymore. Cheers, RickO

Au55 - also, I do not believe that it’s toned. I believe that it is improperly annealed which is common for the type 2 IKE. I have two. An AU55 and an MS65

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!
