Anyone thinking about these?

Not released yet a few places have them on pre sale at the moment

I think I read that the mintage is going to be limited to 250,000 on another site but I don't see that mentioned on the provident page

Pretty. But I doubt I'll buy one.

Provident page shows a mintage of 250K.

Nice twist to the silver maple, but I wouldn't pay any extra premium for it. Just another national mint trying to diversify.

Yes it is 250,000 mintage and I ordered a roll from MCM. That leaves 9,999.
And I love the incuse much like a popular classic US gold coin.

Now riding the swell in PM's and surf.

bought a sealed MB of maples in 08. Opened upon receipt, 30% of the coins were spotted.

Indeed the Maple and even Britannias can be bad for milk spotting. :(

Britannias have some sort of special edge for 2018

@bronco2078 I've heard they are changing them again. I haven't seen one yet though.

I didn't mean to hijack his thread with proclamations of lactation :p

But what a great discussion to be had in another thread around (what I consider) the futile pursuit of premium grade and other new ideas like incuse, reverse proof modern silver coins given the prevalence of a lurking value killer.

I love the incuse Maple design but I wont when it inevitably gets spotty (or maybe it won't..who knows...thats' the problem).

I recently cracked a fresh unopened roll of 2011 Maples and they were ALL severely spotted. %100.
its still another oz of Ag to me but its fallen to generic value if not straight spot.

I view them all as worth spot plus a buck or so , I just thought they look kind of cool. I'm tired of the ASE look , I've been buying kooks , koalas , and pandas , mainly because they change the designs . I liked the britannias until a few years ago when I got some that were all beat up .

The only maples I have are some reverse proofs from 2015 I think
