US Mint Loyalty Program...

Here's a blurb on the US Mint Web Site FAQ:

The United States Mint Loyalty Program

As a special thank you to our most loyal customers, we would like to introduce you to the United States Mint Loyalty Program. When you make three or more purchases, you’ll enjoy free shipping on all future orders placed the same year.

HOW IT WORKS

Registered Users
You need to have a Mint customer account and be subscribed to emails. Be sure to log into the same account for all your purchases.

Not a registered user? Create an Account

Three Orders Per Year
Place 3 orders in the calendar year to be eligible for free shipping. Qualification will be made when your order ships.

All Purchases Count
All your orders (web, phone, or enrollment) count toward your minimum order total. Enrollment orders receive free budget shipping by default, but must ship before they count towards Loyalty Program qualification.

Free Budget Shipping
Once you qualify for the United States Mint Loyalty Program, you’ll automatically receive free budget shipping for all future orders within the continental United States that are placed in the same calendar year.

Restarts Yearly
Total order count for program qualification restarts on January 1st each year.

I was looking for, and mistakenly thought this was about the subscription free shipping offer. However if you read it, it looks like we'll be offered free budget shipping on all orders past the third (from the same account.)

That'd be a nice perk, but I haven't seen this published anywhere else... :)

Well that seems to be a nice idea.... sure, it also promotes business (purchases)... but gives back a bit too. I do not buy much from the mint now,(I did in years past) so for those who buy the sets of business/proofs and others, this will be a saving....Cheers, RickO

Absolutely agree. Haven't shopped there a lot lately, but I have my eye on the WW! Air Service Medal.

Just logged in to my account.
    I don't see it anywhere.

...and I was already signed up for: Product & Promotion Updates in email.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Nice for those still buying from the mint. The goobermint (pun intended) is always good at giving money away - it's what they do.

I stopped buying direct several years ago and free shipping will not bring this old codger back.

If they have it next year maybe I can participate? This year I have no plans to buy from the Mint.

Then you're probably good to go.

I am looking for more details, but this seems to be a very new program. The only google reference I can find to it is this thread.

Sooner or later, the Mint will probably make an announcement and we'll find out more details.

It would be nice if they gave regular consistent customers a higher priority with 'limited' edition items. Although I have been a decent customer for years I have a regular job and anything that is in demand I have pretty much a zero chance of buying them from the Mint. Still I will take the free shipping!

  • I'm new to numismatics and started purchasing late last year... i definitely have enough purchases to qualify, so i called today to find out about why I hadn't received the free shipping. Looks like you also need to subscribe to some mailing list on top of purchases. Uhg.
