1983 penny DDR dont look like zinc..

    Looking at these pictures, it would appear that the zinc is starting to show through the wear.... Now, it could be just the pictures, so I could be mistaken.... weigh the coin... and post it here.... Cheers, RickO

    Looks like some environmental wear to me. Does not look like a doubled die to me either; do you have additional photos or other info showing why it is a DDR?

    No DDR, normal coin suffering environmental damage.
