It has to be either a 63 or 64.

    I'll go with 64.

That is a nice Morgan... I have one - maybe two - '00 O's.... The scratches on the cheek/eyebrow and the dings on the reverse make me think 64.... though, without magnification, perhaps a 65. Is that debris or a ding just below the chin? Could not decide on that since it looks black, but could be a deep hit. Cheers, RickO

MS64 at best, MS63 at worst. I'd say a low end MS64. Not a bad coin for sure.

Are those scratches (obv face) on the coin or holder? ANACS probably gave it a 64 or 65.

I will have to check out the areas in question; black mark in front of chin, scratches on face, etc...

MS 62 or MS 63 if it didn't get ticketed for the scratch.

Fields are 65 or better, many marks on the face hold it back. I don't think the scratches are bad enough to details grade it. I'll go 64.

The obverse fields look really clean, I'll say a 64. I would have said 63 otherwise.

    • scratches on slab
    • foreign debris (pepper flake?) on the inside of the slab, on the surface of the coin
