These seem to be the tip of the iceberg with this seller ...

Unfortunately, this isn't a new paradigm for some sellers.

"Seller does not offer returns"
He is asking for a SNAD claim against his account. I like how he puts little manila envelopes in the background in all the listings as if they just came from an old collection.

Raw higher dollar coins are a good way to lose money unless the seller is shilling/auction selling, etc.. No one gets fooled ultimately. Expect many buyers to have several sets of eyes check out their "good buys". I had group of Mercury dimes years ago where I had the key date certified and they were ok and a deal. The buyer got a critical assessment from a shop though most of the coins were nice. Returns are a vital part of business with coins.
Yeah I'm quite surprised he hasn't had more issues with negative feedbacks given that this seems to have been going on for quite some time.
In my opinion, sellers who buy, crack out and/or "enhance" details-holdered coins rarely have issues with negative feedback because more astute, knowledgeable, savvy (whatever, take your pick) buyers skip this type of auction while less experienced buyers gravitate to these auctions. Therefore, the buyers of such pieces likely do not realize at the time of purchase what they might have obtained.

Says the lister:
'I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL GRADER
PLEASE GRADE FOR YOURSELF
NO GUARANTEE WHAT A THIRD PARTY
GRADER WILL GRADE A COIN'
Kind of a red flag there........

I like how he managed to get the toning in the 1872 coin when there was no toning in the Heritage auction. Or am I wrong?
And he has a high feedback rating number from his Ebay sales is no one safe? Where is the conscious? Red Star 3769 feedbacks.
Somebody should get him on tis forum to explain why he removes coins from the slabs, and lies about the description when he resells. I would like to hear his side and reasons, and we give our sides of the story
Everything is all right!
On the 1795 $ he almost doubled his money: paid $1800 sold for $3550....for that kind of money I would want to see what a third party would grade it, then decide if I agree or not. Asking someone who lies to explain why they do it will never result in a rational or truthful conversation, from my experience.
Wow COinCollectOr:
Now that was an eye opening trek thru scamming. I just looked at a video about a guy that did electroplating on a silver round and he created toning results that were identical to those on that second seated. I had to really magnify to see the harsh cleaning and scrubbing under the toning. No matter how he words his sells schtick knowingly selling an item that has been altered to hide its imperfections still legally screams scam.
Sure glad I joined this group. I've learned more about this hobby in 3 months than I learned in 10 years as a collector,

@TomB.... Hit the nail on the head.....Knowledgeable coin buyers avoid these type of sales. Cheers, RickO
