A few new Buffs for my herd...SHOW ME YOUR DECEMBER NEWPS

crazyhounddogcrazyhounddog Posts: 13,816 ✭✭✭✭✭
edited December 29, 2017 6:58PM in U.S. Coin Forum

All of these were purchased in December, a very good month for buying coins in my book. Only the first Buff has been graded the rest are raw but I see no reason they won't grade out just fine.
Thank you for looking. Happy hunting and have a happy and safe new year, Joe :)

The 29-s is housed in an old pcgs green holder with the assigned grade of 64. I see it as a 65. Thank you for your complement. I like it too :)

Beautiful coins. I wish I had your good fortune with finding toned Buffs... still trying to find a nice 35-P toner...

I like the 1929-S a lot, too. Nice additions.

Very nice Joe!!! So, just how many of these ugly Buffs do you have now?

I, personally, like that 25 Buff quite a bit. For less that a hundred bucks I was able to land that piece, that also made that deal a bit sweeter. I do beleive it'll grade out at a sweet 66.
Here are my other two 1925 Buffs for comparison. The first one is a NGC 64. The second one is a PCGS 65 that you can see in the coin facts.
    Thanks for looking, Joe

Here's another 17 I just picked up. The obverse looks like it just came off the die.

Wow - even your 'old' ones are spectacular. That perfect concentric rainbow ring on the second '25 is really something.

I didn't make any purchases in December. I almost picked up a nice '36 DDO but I wasn't fast enough and it sold. :(

    Great Buffs Joe.

Your OCD for Buffs is similar to my OCD for Frosty Franklins and 1964-1970 Kennedies. I have no idea how many I have in my collection (will have to count them some day).

I wonder if you have more Buffs that I have Franklins & Kennedies or if it is the other way around?

    Hi Kevin!
It’s a good question. Maybe one day we can get together again and count them up :) That would be a fun day.
Take care and happy new year to you and yours, Joe

Certainly no match for Joe's or Tom's but it was one of my last picks of the year and it is the No Designer Initial variety, even though it's not CPG recognized.

those are of course some nice buffs you have there and I am especially 'green' over that 1924.

You've seen these all but I also managed to pick up a few nice ones in 2017.
