Status of ANA Collector Relations Committee?

Back in July, we had a discussion on creating an ANA Collector Relations Committee here on these forums with Charmy, Chair of the ANA Dealer Relations Committee. After this, I heard the committee had been created with a named chairman in August.
I just noticed that this still isn't on the ANA Money.org committee webpage:

Does anyone have information on this committee?

Uhhh...the Chairman was named "August." But he's still organizing his one page of notes and will get started "real soon now." The first agenda topic is a deep discussion of "Lincoln smoking a pipe" cents and their effects on attracting new coin collectors. Near the bottom is a planned discussion of "Why the ANA has no testicles for fighting counterfeit coins and medals, and how that's a really good thing."
Maybe "August" will get organized by June -- or someone else on the ANA staff.
Collector relations? We don't need no stinkin' Collector Relations.
K
I know the name of the Chairman but I will let him, or someone else, mention it first.
There were some good suggestions for this new committee posted in the following thread started by @RogerB:

Yep. Members had some interesting and potentially helpful ideas. Is there any evidence "August" or anyone else at ANA read, understood and took action on them? Or, like fighting counterfeiting, it's more ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz from Colorado Springs.
The lack of any form of response from person in charge describes it best NO CHANGES. at least could have come on here thank all etc.
This is why I have considered not renewing membership.... Cheers, RickO
ANA participates in an ongoing industry-wide anti-counterfeiting "working group" coordinated by ICTA with TPG and PNG involvement as well as that of the Treasury Dept. I know of numerous instances in which ANA educators have worked with other non-numismatic industry groups (such as lenders) on problems of this sort. This is incremental back-room work, not public relations.
The ICTA anti-counterfeiting effort is the Anti-Counterfeiting Task Force (ACTF) created in January 2017. There is a Steering Committee and 11 work groups listed below. The ACTF Steering Committee has members from PNG, PCGS, and NGC but I didn't see anyone representing ANA on the list. Should the ANA be on the Steering Committee to represent collectors as the PNG represents dealers?
Does anyone know if ACTF has announced any efforts to combat overseas counterfeits that are making their way into the country via online auction and e-commerce sites? To be more effective, I imagine these need to be lobby efforts to influence how the US negotiates trade agreements with China, Canada, Europe, etc. like what the MPAA does for movie counterfeiting and the like.

ANA does nothing to actively protect collectors from counterfeit coin makers or sellers. As the officially chartered representative of coin collectors, ANA should be out there bringing legal action against everyone involved in counterfeiting and violations of the HPA. They'd even get paid for it because HPA allows recovery of 100% of revenue from violators' activities.
Being a member of ICTA is a cheap, gutless cop-out by ANA management and board. It is a continuing disservice to ANA members and others. The last discussion I had with ICTA/ACTF went something like "Duhhh. We's-a gon-a dos thiz. We's-a real will-a" and reminded me of an incredibly awful Star Wars cartoon character.
I'm reminded of Eric Newman's attempts to get ANA and others to openly investigate fake western bars and counterfeit USAOG coins. Back then, eventually ANA through Virgil Hancock's pushing, finally opened it's authentication bureau and did other things to identify and suppress counterfeits. But today, ANA "leadership" fumbles around, issues statements, and gets defensive when asked for tangible actions.
the ANA has no consumer protection. They can not get out of their own way and they now put on a second rate show in the summer
