We've been working on improving our imagers over the past few months, so you're actually seeing the newer coin images come through. The worst offenders were the cheap coins that were getting done on a flatbed scanner, but we've reduced those dramatically and the camera images have been gradually improving as well...glad someone noticed!

    Is this a trick question?

Just to be clear, I’m only trying to be constructively critical on the imaging. You guys are great dealers.

How will Mr. Hansen's involvement impact what you can offer collectors? Is he simply an investor and we will not see his involvement or will his involvement be more visible? Thanks

This is a great question! First and foremost, Mr. Hansen is a collector and LOVES the hunt for coins that fit his collection. Unfortunately his busy schedule does not allow him to frequent many coin shows.
He has attended a few major ones recently and we hope to have him with us at the upcoming World's Fair of Money this summer as well.

That being said, from the outside, you probably won't see much at all. Quietly, our relationship has been yielding much fruit as far as coins and collections that we have been seeing lately. I would suspect that you'll see us offer coins that we typically might not have handled previously.

We'll continue to grow our inventory over the next few months and we'll have some offerings in the coming weeks that are directly a result of the newly-formed relationship. But, overall I would simply suggest a wider selection in the short-term.

Thanks! I couldn't find the coin for some reason...However, we'll add this coin to the "re-do" queue tomorrow and see how it turns out...

I am late to the thread, but since it originated, I had breakfast with John Brush at the FUN show. A mutual friend of ours whom we both respect kept saying why haven't you two met, yet. I will say this John knows his stuff and has an outstanding operation who for sure will take it to the next level. I appreciated all of John's insight and gudiance he offered. Most importantly, John is a great person. Easy going and real. Looking forward to seeing more of him.

Indeed, we have an auction ending April 1 with many of Mr. Hansen's duplicates. These are indeed all coins that he has upgraded over the years, but is only the first portion of what we'll be listing in upcoming sales.

We're still setting up the auction, but we hope to have it live on the website next week!

This is not a hard thing to solve. DLRC serves a different market for the most part than Legend. Simple as that. I have bought a few very nice coins from them both. The only problem with the pics is their flatness - as in like a scanner or copier was used instead of good glass. Just know what you are buying and shop accordingly. They've always been fair and honest, and you can return a coin if you don't like it, and you don't have to worry if they are going to still be around if you want to exercise that right. It's good to have solid dealers in the business.

Glad to hear that the photography is improving. A couple of times in the past I have passed on a coin in their auctions because of the quality of the images.
