2018 Native American $1 Coin (18N*) (Image updated)

The Sacabucks will be released February 15th this year in it's standard rolls/bags/boxes. They'll probably strike 5 million of the almost NCLT, roughly half at Denver and half at Philly.
Mostly un-noteworthy except the Mint released the line art of the reverse.
Line Art:
(Wa-Tho-Huk is Thorpe's tribal name.)
(Edit: Upgraded image.)

Reserved, but I don't know why...
That could be more popular than other issues have been, give the subject matter, especially if the image matches the artwork.
That would be nice.. Jim Thorpe was a true sports hero.... Cheers, RickO
Hopefully we will see a coin and currency set.

Agreed. I think Jim Thorpe was the first biography ever read. I remember something about Eisenhower and a football teammate taking Thorpe out with a high/low because he was such an outstanding (Native American) athlete.
I just found this description of that tackle.

Since the general public never sees these issues there is little chance for popularity beyond the coin collector universe. I have never received one of the "native American" dollars in change.
Why is the Mint commemorating Jim Thorpe AGAIN?
They think he is a subject that will lead to additional sales.
Maybe the people at the mint have run out of New ideas for designs.
that screams native american to me.....
Image released of this years coin. I think it looks pretty good...
