Guess The Grade

I just received this card today. What do you think the current grade is? I plan to send it into PSA for crossover. What do you think PSA will grade it as? It is BVG graded now with the sub-grades. Any scratches or smudges you see are on the case not the card.

3.5 (eventually), 3 on first try.
The mark/smudge or whatever it is to the left of Willie's face is on the slab. There are no creases on the card. The BVG grade for Surface is 8.5.

What is the line by his arm? Is that part of the image every time?
I'm not sure what line you are referring to. If it is this then it is a mark on the slab.
That's what I though was a crease. Looked like it goes though the green on the back as well.
Conservatively, I'd guess a 7 then.
In looking at the card and slab in hand, what looks like creases on the scan are where the mylar sleeve is touching the plastic slab.

James,
I'm thinking maybe a PSA 8.
Good luck with it.

Baring any downgrade for MIN SIZE or Trimming I don't see how it doesn't grade an 8.
Looks like a solid 8 to me. Good luck.
Nice PSA 8 imo. My guess is this is in a BVG case way too low for the appearance in which they harshly graded centering due to a slight slight tilt or elsewise? I will say BVG 6. I think PSA will treat this card very differently if it measures correctly.
Assuming PSA has no problem with min size or the cut, then it's an easy 8 or 8.5, IMO.
NG trimmed left and top edge.
If you're able to return the card for a refund now it will save you a good bit of time, money and grief if you're beyond the return period by the time it comes back.
I go with 8 unless they think it's minsize
8.5
I yield to KbKards.
Whomever that is hasn't been wrong yet.
I think its trimmed also

Thank you all for the guesses and comments. The card is graded BVG 8.5. It is going to PSA tomorrow as a crossover with minimum requested grade of PSA 8. I do not believe it is trimmed. I checked it against other 56 Topps cards.

I would crack it. The smudges and scratching if it cannot be removed, along with the corner grade (which I believe is harsh for BVG). I think it could work, but I think your chances are better diving in and taking the risk if it truly measures.
I would agree with secretstash -- really don't see anything to dislike about the card. The two long edges seem to have a weird bevel, but I feel as though that's either as made, or the very thick BVG holder plus scan might be distorting things. If it measures well as far as you can tell through that holder, I'd crack and submit. Good luck!
First reaction is 3.5. Looks like its creased. Good luckj with it.
I would leave it in this holder, unless PSA will remove the mylar when it crosses over to PSA 8 or higher. Would hate to see that mylar in a PSA holder....But that is a beauty of a card!

I may be hoarding too much 80's junk wax but I like it!
PSA has had the card for a week but it hasn't been logged in yet. I'll post results when I get them.
