In the non-numismatic category, my favorite and most uncharacteristic acquisition this year is this 2006 Mercedes SL65 AMG with the twin-turbo V12 and retractable top. After some ECU tuning at a local specialist, the dynamometer test measured at the rear wheels 606 horsepower and 821 foot-pounds of torque. Totally ridiculous.
I purchased this buffalo nickel raw for $195.00 shipped.
Then I sent it in for grading. Came back a 66.
Sent into CAC and it got stickered. Population is 19/2
My best score for 2017 hands down.

My current coin collecting interests are: (1) British coins 1838-1970 in XF-AU-UNC, (2) silver type coins in XF-AU with that classic medium gray coloration and exceptional eye appeal.

Probably this one.... In an old fatty holder with a gold sticker it has some of the brightest ultimate neon pop I have ever seen... A wonderful toned Morgan one of these days I will have to get ambitious and take some different pics.... AB
