New member introduction?

I don’t mean to start a new thread if there is a new member introduction thread but I did not find one, so.
Hello my name is Bob and I have just decided to get back into collecting (out since 2003) I was doing dollar registry sets.
I had really nice sets of Sacajaweas, SBA (before there was an MS67 81S) and Morgan all in the registry.
I am now going to start with a silver Circulation strike type set. First coin is a very nice 1917 MS63fh Standing Liberty Quarter.

Welcome baboon bobo Bob
Posting images is pretty easy these days
Let me try an image. My first coin purchase other than bullion coins in 14 years.
Welcome to the forum. Let's see some of those Morgans!

I do not have any of them anymore. I sold off everything in 2003 and just got interested in starting back up. The one shown above is my first coin for getting back into it. I like “white” coins
That's a great coin to re-start with! Welcome to the forum.
That’s a pretty nice coin to start with. Welcome!
Welcome to the fun.
Welcome to the forum, nice SLQ by the way.
Thanks all, I just plan to stalk the forum and try to get up to speed on what’s been happening the last decade or so.
Nice coin! Can you cypher your username for those of us here that are the curious type?

Sure, I had a boss one time that said my head was red like a baboons a** (I’m a red head) and a little Hawaiian girl who called me Bobo all the time.
Put them together and it stuck for something like 25 years now?!
Welcome! Nice choice for an SLQ type coin.

My, that's a nice Standing Liberty! Welcome.
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
Back when I was getting the weekly Coin World, the wife-to-be asked, "What could possibly have happened in the past WEEK to coin collecting?" I tried to argue.....But she was probably right.
Same might be said for the last 10 years.
Get up to speed on the whole "CAC thing", and it will be like you never left.
Yeah I’ve been reading copious amounts on here for the last couple days and need to figure out some of the abbreviations being used and CAC was not around the last time I bought a coin. So I definitely need to get up to speed but I’m working on it.
And a thank you to everyone who likes my SLQ I waited until I found the “perfect” one for me to start again and this one was it.
welcome

Welcome back.
I got here after you left, and I don't know if @Laurie had yet introduced "chat-room chimps" into the numismatic lexicon.
I'm curious as to your observations about whether chimps or your kindred are better graders.
Did you know BONGO? Cousins maybe?
This a good time to re-enter for fun and a few cheap thrills.
CAC threads are incredibly repetitious. One member pledged 6 months off and made it 6 weeks
