So. I DO NOT check my ebay mail ever day. And I just purchased something today. Then I saw I had a message from ebay HQ...

Long story short: here; have a 10% ebay buck bonus for 2 days only!

Well - I'd already bought and paid for something. So I hit "activate offer" and ... low and behold ... ebay, in their graciousness, gave me the bonus deal! Even thought technically, I'd already checked out!

Question: Did you sign up for "promotional" emails? In other words, does an email show up (in your email, not ebay messages) most every day?

That's not the way ebay bucks works. You get no discount on the transaction...you get "bucks" to use in a future transaction next calendar quarter.

Not being an ebay professional (Though I have dabbled since the nineties), I assume one must be an active seller to get these promotional 'bucks'. Although I do buy things (other than coins) from time to time, I do not sell anything... which, I assume, is why I do not get promotional encouragements. Cheers, RickO

Hmmmm, I should've checked my ebay bucks. I had a seller cancel a purchase so I could buy it again and get my $100 in ebay bucks! Worked like a charm! Same as you, an hour or 2 after I bought it I got the ebay bucks offer!
