I bought a 40oz. bottle of Budweiser to kill the pain of so many "relatives" gathering at my house. I paid for it with COINS. Does that count? Shoulda bought a 12 pack. Sweet Baby Jesus! Christmas and New Years are just around the corner. HELP!

I did the same thing, although I used a six pack of Warsteiner beer.

@amwldcoin ....."My trigger was been cocked but nothing to buy"....???? How do you do this?? Or do you mean 'My hammer was cocked, but nothing to pull the trigger on.'..... Sorry, being a gun person, it did not make sense. :D;) Cheers, RickO

I have not talked to my Mother-In-Law in 20 years. I did not want to interrupt her.

I tried with plenty of bids, but did not snag one. :(

Had a great day away from the computer not even watch me lose every auction! Grand kids were awesome, brother and his sister, too. Daughter hosted and no politics (other than the sex scandals) and lots of great food.

    Yes TG good for me.

Got a Pcgs 1928-S dollar for $84 in AU58. NN coin market is $215. Plan retail it for around $200.

    I picked up a 1994 25c for $18 a MV is $70. Prolly would take $60 on it.

I tried to bid on an 1834 PCGS AU53 Quarter but I waited a little too long and didn't get the bid in.
I'm amazed at how low these are now trading for as It hammered at $611.

Years ago, when my daughter was an infant, I used to throw her in sling I could wear on my back, and she'd sleep like that for an hour or 2, which gave me enough time to cruise the bourse at the Long Beach Show. The only coin I remember buying on such a visit, was an impulse buy, 1915-S Pan-Pac Gold Dollar. It was an NGC AU58, and I think I paid $500 for it. It was a nice souvenir of that time!

Sadly, that coin disappeared last month, but I had been looking to replace it with another. This Thanksgiving, I pulled the trigger on another 1915-S Pan-Pac gold dollar -- it is in an older NGC holder that hugs the whole coin, which brings back memories of my other one, but this coin is an MS64 -- and it did not cost too much more than what I paid for the 1st coin -- a nice upgrade!

I got some additional guns and ammo to keep some coins safe. Does that count?

Every once in awhile they would look at me like I was supposed to render a scoring decision. I tried to keep my head down, stared at the football game or faked sleeping.

Avoided eye contact at all times. So in other words I envoked the same strategy as one would in a topless bar when the ugly dancer comes on stage.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
