Grease filled letter/number drop? BEWARE: eye test lol

I thought I could see a six and possibly another number or letter on the torch . I. Sure it's nothing but I figured I'd get some opinions just for good measure.

It is a classic Mint striking issue called Pareidolia. While not rare, it is exciting to find.

Actually it's called "Picteals"... Google it :joy:

    The more you VAM..

I agree that it "looks" like something, but it seems to me that if it were a dropped letter the surface still would have picked up the design from the die.

This time, I'm going with the OP. Very interesting. Have it checked out. First, can you post a photo in two orientations using fluorescent light?

I sent Mike Diamond an email with some pictures. Hopefully he thinks it's as interesting as I do. Could be a genuine mint error but there is always the possibility of it be tampered with or pmd. Either way it's different. And I like different

I do see what you are questioning... looks like a '6'..... However, IMO, it is likely PMD..... JMO... (is that enough acronyms?).... :D Cheers, RickO
